Since opening in 1976, Rupp Arena has been the home of the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Team. Named after legendary UK basketball coach Adolph Rupp. It is one of the biggest college basketball venues in the country. With an official capacity of 23,500 UK basketball is second in attendance every year for their games. Many banners hang in the rafters including 8 National Titles and Jerseys from the best UK basketball players in the programs history.

Where are good places to eat before a Kentucky game?
There are great local restaurants in downtown Lexington near Rupp Arena. There are multiple fast food restaurants in the Lexington Center which is connected to Rupp Arena. One of the top steak houses in all of Kentucky is Tony’s, which is just a block northeast from Rupp Arena. There are also local favorite restaurants like Big Blue Martini and Saul Good Restaurant & Pub. The Hyatt next to Lexington Center also has a nice bar and restaurant.
Where is the best place to park at the Rupp Arena?
Parking at Rupp Arena is condensed to two key areas. The main parking lot is in between Rupp Arena and Maxwell street with the entrance being on W High St. There are generally multiple private lots that sell parking for games for $10-$20 dollars.
Does my child need a ticket to attend the game?
Children under the age of 2 years old do not require a ticket to enter Rupp Arena and must sit in a guardians lap for the duration of the game.
